Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel are Expecting Their Baby

Private Practice star, Taye Diggs and his wife Idina Menzel will soon become parents!

The couple are expecting their first baby, as the news was shared by the actor’s rep. The baby is expected will be born later this year.

Once in an interview with US Weekly, 37-year-old Mendel shared her joy of becoming a mother, “[I've been ready for kids since] the day I met him. He wouldn’t talk about marriage, but he’d talk about me having his children. He’s always wanted kids. He grew up with four younger brothers and sisters, so he’s very comfortable around children.”

38-year-old Diggs and Mendel have been together since 1996, when they met each other on the 1996 Broadway production of Rent. The pair got married in January 2003, and now expanding with a future spawn to become a completed family.

Diggs is currently played the character of Sam Bennett, an Internal Medicine Specialist, in Private Practice, a spinoff from Grey’s Anatomy series. Menzel herself is a Tony Award-winner, who got the honor from her role in the 2003 Broadway production of the musical Wicked.

The couple are reported will reunited in the small screen, because Menzel is scheduled to appear in a few episodes of Private Practice coming up soon.
