Another week goes by, another contestant goes home. This week, it’s Megan Joy Corkrey who got cut off.

On this week’s performance show, Corkrey sang the tune of Bob Marley, titled Turn Your Lights Down Low. Apparently, judges weren’t pleased with her performance.

Kara Dioguardi didn’t approved Corkrey’s song choice, saying that Corkrey should have sing Chasing Pavements by Adele. Simon Cowell also shared the same unsatisfied feeling, by saying Corkrey performance is “boring” and “indulgent.”

He even added, “I’m not going to pretend that we’re even going to contemplate saving you.” Which then the 23-year-old crooner replied, “I love you, Simon, but I don’t care.”

Then at the elimination show, Corkrey was sent to the bottom three. 16-year-old Allison Iraheta and 21-year-old Anoop Desai were later joining her. She received the least number of viewer votes, and it’s time for her to go.

When Corkrey was finally heard the announcement, she said bravely, “It’s okay!” Although in the end, she couldn’t help the tears came falling down when she said she’d be going home to her 2-year-old boy. Corkrey will return to Utah, but she promised this won’t be the last time we’ve seen (or heard) of her. Good luck for your future steps dear!

The elimination show was also fired up by Lady GaGa’s performance, singing Poker Face. David Cook also made an awesome performance, singing his new single, Come Back to Me.

The last remaining contestants, will perform tunes released the year of their birth on next Tuesday’s performance show. Except Iraheta who is the youngest finalist, other seven finalists (Anoop Desai, Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud and Scott MacIntrye) were born in the 1980s.

I think the show will be more interesting next week…
