Laura Leighton and Thomas Calabro Reunited in New Melrose Place

Good news for Melrose Place’s loyal fans!

Are you anxious to see the new version of the series? can’t wait for the new story and conflicts, but hoping the old cast that you missed in it? Well, your prayers have been answered.

The actress who played Sydney Andrews in the popular series, Laura Leighton, has agreed to reprise her role. Looking back at the end of season 5 of Melrose Place, a car struck Sydney on her wedding day and left fans believing that she’d died.

But apparently, Sydney is back from the dead. Leighton will played as the landlord on the upcoming series. A source confirmed the news, saying, “It was a near-fatal accident. You never actually saw her dead.” Brilliant plot, that is.

And not only Leighton, Thomas Calabro will also join the cast as the familiar Dr. Michael Mancini. Still no details about his character, but it is said that Calabro will be David Patterson’s father, played by Shaun Sipos. An insider said that the cast is complete, and they’ll start shooting the pilot next week.

Here are some of the official cast: Katie Cassidy as Ella; Jessica Lucas as Riley; Ashlee Simpson-Wentz as Violet; Michael Rady as Jonah; Colin Egglesfield as Auggie; Shaun Sipos as David, and Stephanie Jacobsen as Lauren.
