Hugh Jackman Was Heartbroken by ‘Wolverine’ Leak

The real Wolverine, Hugh Jackman, said on Wednesday that he was heartbroken by the leak of his latest upcoming movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, on the Internet a month before its official release.
40-year-old Jackman arrived by helicopter on Cockatoo Island in Sydney Harbour, where much of the film was shot. This is the first stop of a world promotion tour for the latest movie from X-Men series. Then, the actor swooping down from a clifftop on a cable, later unveil 20 minutes of the movie’s completed footage to around 600 fans.
A work print of the movie that tells a story on the beginnings of Wolverine’s life began appearing online last week, although it is not scheduled for release in the U.S. until May 1. As the Australian actor commented, “Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It’s like a Ferrari without a paint job.”
Jackman, who was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive last year, said the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was on the case. The 20th Century Fox also said that the FBI and Motion Picture Association of America were investigating and promised to prosecute those responsible.
Jackman was convinced that whoever had posted the copy would be tracked down. He also added that although he was upset about the leak, he still believed that fans will determine to see the movie in theaters. The leaked version of the superhero movie was reportedly downloaded tens of thousands of times within a day of being posted on file-sharing websites at the end of March.
