Scott Weiland is Starting His Day in Jail

The main pilot of Stone Temple Pilots, Scott Weiland, officially ‘flew’ to jail yesterday morning. He checked into a jail in Van Nuys, California, to begin serving an eight-day stretch for driving under the influence, a continuous process from his November bust after a minor accident on a Los Angeles-area freeway.

He was sentenced on April 28, after pleading no contest to misdemeanor DUI. This is his second conviction in four years. He also was put on four years probation, ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol rehabilitation program and fined nearly $2,000.
