No more ‘Jackass’ on the dance floor!
Steve-O and his professional partner, Lacey Schwimmer, were swiped away from the reality show Dancing With The Stars yesterday, after receiving the week’s lowest score, 16 points out of 30, for their rumba.
He believed it was his best dance so far in the hit ABC show, and was actually surprised by the low scores. But as judge Len Goodman commented on their performance, “You can’t confuse movement with dancing. There was no hip action, there was no footwork and it was no good.”
Although the journey reach the end for Steve-O, but the 34-year-old ‘crazy guy’ was happy for his participation on the show. “I met a lot of challenges, I made a lot of mistakes and the fans kept me around long enough to learn from it all,” he said about the experience. “It’s forced me to grow as a person and for that I’m very grateful.”
It’s not easy being a contestant on DWTS, proved by many obstacles Steve-O got. The funnyman strained his back during training, then exacerbated the injury with an ill-fated flip during a salsa performance last month. But he didn’t give up, and fans put big trust on him for weeks. Too bad Steve-O couldn’t keep dancing on DWTS’s dance floor anymore.
So now, there are still seven celebrities remain in the competition: Rapper Lil Kim, rodeo champ Ty Murray, former football star Lawrence Taylor, Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, country singer Chuck Wicks, “Bachelor” star Melissa Rycroft and actor Gilles Marini.
Swing away, and keep on dancing all!
