Happy news is coming from Ellen Pompeo, the actress who plays Meredith Grey in the Golden Globe award-winning television show, Grey’s Anatomy. 39-year-old Pompeo and her 41-year-old husband, Christopher Ivery will soon become parents. Jennifer Allen, Pompeo’s rep confirmed the news by saying, “It’s great news. They’re ecstatic.”

The couple met in 2003 through mutual friends, and began dating six months later. Then in November 2007, they were married at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau near New York’s City Hall, with Mayor Michael Bloomberg serving as their witness.

Pompeo have been Meredith Grey since 2005, and will still continuing her role for at least 2 more seasons. Congrats for both Ellen and Chris!
