Leighton Meester Will Launch Her Debut Album

For those of you Gossip Girl fans, those lines I’ve written must be familiar. And if you are especially a fan of Leighton Meester, the actress who played Blair Waldorf, get ready to not only see her on tv, but also hear her voice in a CD very soon.

The 23-year-old star reportedly had just signed a deal with Universal Republic through Time-Act Music to release her debut album in the fall, an album that she had been working on since March.

Meester described her music as having an ‘electro-pop edge’, and also had spent some of her recording times with famous producers, such as; Polow Da Don (who previously worked with Usher & Fergie), Harvey Mason, Jr. (who produced singers like Justin Timberlake & Pink) and Spencer Nezey (Jupiter Rising).

With season 2 of Gossip Girl getting closer to finale, looks like Meester already found another thing that will keep her busy. This brunette beauty will also appeared in two movies, slated for 2010; a suspense thriller entitled The Roommate, and a comedy, Date Night.
