Nas and Kelis Are Planning a Divorce

Being pregnant doesn’t stop R&B singer Kelis to filed for divorce from her husband, hip-hop star Nas.

The shocking news was informed by her rep, saying that 29-year-old Kelis -who is now seven months pregnant with rapper Nas’s son- had request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time.

Nas -whose full name Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones- met the Milkshake singer, Kelis Rogers-Jones in 2002 at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party. After a two-year engagement, the couple got married in January 2005 in Atlanta.

Kelis’ divorce petition was filed yesterday, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. And with the unborn child, she is asking for spousal and child support, as well as joint custody of their baby.

Well, no matter what the outcome is, best wishes for both.
