Finally, the wedding bells were heard for Maggie Gyllenhaal!

After being engaged to actor Peter Sarsgaard for more than two years, last Saturday 31-year-old Gyllenhaal had officially become Sarsgaard’s wife. The news was shared by Gyllenhaal’s publicist, Amanda Silverman, but she didn’t provide any further details. Although other reports said that they tied the knot in a small chapel in Brindisi, Italy.

The couple have been together since 2002, where Gyllenhaal met Sarsgaard as her younger brother, Jake Gyllenhaal’s close friend. They were blessed with the birth our daughter Ramona, back in October 2006.

Gyllenhaal was known for several prominent roles, including as Batman’s object of affection, Rachel Dawes in The Dark Knight. She also had appeared in Donnie Darko, Mona Lisa Smile, Sherrybaby, and World Trade Center. While in Sarsgaard’s acting list, he had appeared in Jarhead, Garden State, Flightplan and Kinsey.
