Allison Iraheta Is Out From American Idol

Unfortunately, Allison Iraheta won’t be the last woman standing on this season’s American Idol.

The 17-year-old phenomenon was eliminated on last night’s result show, leaving three guys; Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey and Kris Allen to be saluted with hometown parades before performing next week.

23-year-old Kris Allen was the first to be declared safe, and then 27-year-old theater actor Adam Lambert was saved. And although Danny Gokey’s rendition of Aerosmith’s Dream On was not a pleasing one, the 29-year-old church music director was also saved.

On her performance last Tuesday, red-haired Iraheta sang her cover of Janis Joplin’s Cry Baby. Judge Simon Cowell thought her performance wasn’t her best, but he also thought that she might be safe. But apparently, the votes were not lots enough to keep her on the competition. The song became the suitable swan song for her, as she was seen shed some tears while leaving the stage.

The night’s guest performers included No Doubt, who are still working on their latest album, former Idol contestant Chris Daughtry and in-house performer, Paula Abdul. She and some dancers performed her new single entitled I’m Just Here for the Music.

Three weeks to go people! Keep supporting your next American Idol!
