Madonna Got Approved For Another Adoption

Madonna must be so happy right now, as her effort to adopt another child from Africa had been approved by the Malawi’s highest court.

She was actually ‘rejected’ by a lower court decision, saying the attempt was out of touch with the times. But with this new decision, it overturned the previous one, and gave Madonna the approval she has been hoping for.

Supreme court Chief Justice Lovemore Munro said Madonna was financially stable and could care for three-year-old Chifundo James, whose name translates as “Mercy”. And according to Munlo, the singer’s commitment to helping disadvantaged children should have been taken into account when deciding on the diva’s request. “We therefore grant the adoption,” he said.

Beside adopted Mercy, Madonna has also founded a charity called Raising Malawi, which helps feed, educate and provide medical care for some of Malawi’s more than 1 million orphans, half of whom have lost a parent to AIDS.

Good deed indeed. Congrats Madge!
