Tuesday afternoon, Hollywood mourned as actress Farrah Fawcett laid to rest.

Fawcett’s life was celebrated at a private funeral in the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels. Her long time companion, Ryan O’Neal and son, Redmond O’Neal were among Fawcett’s friends who were there giving their final goodbye.

68-year-old O’Neal was seen tearfully as he led other pallbearers accompanied the casket, covered in yellow and orange flowers, into the Roman Catholic cathedral. 24-year-old Redmond was also reported as one of the pallbearers. He has been jailed in a drug case but received a judge’s permission to attend his mom’s funeral, who died last Thursday.

Fawcett’s best friend Alana Stewart and Charlie’s Angels co-star Kate Jackson were among early arrivals before the hearse pulled up, accompanied by 10 motorcycle officers. Marla Maples, Joan Collins and Tatum O’Neal were also among the 200 guests attending the hour-long Catholic service.

A man in a kilt played “Amazing Grace” on a bagpipe at the beginning of the service, which also included Bible readings and prayer. But because the service was closed to the public, fans and news media watched from across a street.

Alana Stewart and Fawcett’s doctor Lawrence Piro were the ones who delivered the eulogies. In her eulogy, Stewart said, “Goodbye sweet girl. [Farrah] never felt sorry for herself during her illness … she fought cancer furiously.” She added, “She’s the most beautiful angel in heaven. She always seemed so indestructible.”

So long, Farrah Fawcett.
