Well well well…They are officially married now! Ashlee Simpson is Mrs. Wentz now, starting last Saturday. As reported by PEOPLE, rumor about Ashlee and Pete’s weekend wedding are actually true. The couple married last Saturday in an intimate vibe, only attended by family and close friends, said the spokesperson.
The bride wore an ivory lace wedding gown by Monique Lhuillier and jewels by William Noble. Dad Joe Simpson performed the non-denominational ceremony. While her oldest sister, Jessica Simpson served as maid of honor, accompanied by Wentz’s English bulldog, Hemingway, as the ring-bearer. Jessica’s boyfriend, Tony Romo was there. Nicole Richie with Joel Madden was also there to give support.
They exchanged vows in front of 150 guests at her parents’ Los Angeles area home. The Wedding was in The Alice in Wonderland themed reception, with help from Mindy Weiss, the wedding planner. It also featured a wedding cake by Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings with a top hat, tea pot, stop watch and a pot of flowers on top. The elaborate centerpieces of black beauty roses were by Mark’s Garden. Guests were served Rose Veuve Clicquot champagne followed by a sit-down dinner and dancing to a deejay.
Congrats to the happy couple! (and -might be- future parents?)
