In the midst of Paula Abdul’s undecided American Idol judge position, another female judge from the show, Kara DioGuardi had secured her judging seat for the next season of America’s no. 1 talent competition.

DioGuardi had confirmed to come back for American Idol’s ninth season, as informed by an insider, “Her deal is done. There are no ifs, ands or buts. Done. She will be back.” No comment from DioGuardi’s rep or from the show’s rep, but it is reported that the 38-year-old songwriter will shoot a new season of auditions in the next week or so.

Hopefully with DioGuardi’s confirmed comeback, Paula Abdul will gladly join the rest of judges too. Cross your fingers, American Idol fans!
