Beyonce and Lady Gaga Are This Year’s MTV VMA Top Nominators

Beyonce and Lady Gaga
It will be the battle between Sasha Fierce and Miss Poker Face!
Yap, Beyoncé and Lady Gaga will have a very strong competition at the MTV Video Music Awards this year, where on Tuesday both singers each earned nine nominations, more than any artist. They are tied for video of the year and best female video nominations.
Joining the two divas, Britney Spears is looking pretty good after her musical comeback with seven nods. All three will compete for the honor of video of the year, Beyonce with Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It), Lady Gaga with Poker Face and Britney Spears with Womanizer.
In a statement released by MTV, Beyonce said, “I’m excited and honored to be tied for most nominated for the VMAs. I’ve been blessed this year to have ‘Single Ladies’ become a video people really connected with and responded to. I’ve spent so much time watching all the great versions people created all around the world. It’s beautiful to feel you touch people and bring a song to life with a video.”
For Best Male Video category, Kanye West’s Love Lockdown will compete alongside Jay-Z with D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune), T.I. (featuring Rihanna) with Live Your Life, Ne-Yo with Miss Independent and We Made You from Eminem.
The VMAs will take place on September 13 at locations around New York City, including Radio City Music Hall, with Russell Brand that will host the event for the second time. The event will be filled with performances from Taylor Swift, Pink and British band Muse.
This will be another great VMA, I guess. Can’t hardly wait to see it!!
