Following the death of DJ AM, an autopsy was immediately run on his lifeless body that was found on his NYC apartment.

The autopsy was completed on Saturday afternoon, but the exact reasons on how the spinner, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, lost his life still remains a mystery.

New York City Medical Examiner spokesperson Ellen Borakove reported that “The cause of death was inconclusive because we need to do additional testing. The testing would include toxicology and tissue testing. We don’t expect any results for several weeks.” Borakove could not comment further on the case, but also added, “It’s under investigation and when the investigation is complete we will have a cause of death and a manner of death.”

Goldstein’s death had been linked to drugs (with prescription drugs and a crack pipe that were found in the apartment as proofs), but until further investigation, the cause of death could not be officially determined. He had a history of drug abuse, but Goldstein himself had recently said he had been clean for 11½ years and had been working with other addicts since six months into his sobriety. He recently wrapped the MTV reality show Gone Too Far, on which he helped other addicts find a way to end their dependence.

Held your patience then, to know what actually caused him dead. Meanwhile, let’s just send prayers for the late DJ. :)
