Blink 182 Cancelled a New York Show for DJ AM

Blink 182 (n/a)
The sudden death of DJ AM was considered a pretty heavy loss for his friends, and Blink-182 was among them.
The reunited punk rock band decided to have a timeout in terms of grieving their DJ pal, and therefore canceling their concert in Saratoga, New York that was scheduled Monday night.
The news was announced by the band in a statement on their MySpace page, saying that, “Due to circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely passing of our dear friend Adam ‘DJ AM Goldstein, blink-182 will not be playing tonight in Saratoga, NY at [Saratoga Performing Arts Center].”
But they didn’t want to leave their fans in disappointment, and tried to make amends. So the message continued, “Performances by Weezer, Taking Back Sunday and Chester French will take place as planned along with some special surprises. We thank all of our fans for their support in this tough time.”
Not only that, bassist and singer Mark Hoppus also twittered his apologies, “Saratoga, our sincerest apologies that we have to cancel tonight. We didn’t know until late this afternoon.” The band will resume its tour Wednesday night in Cleveland.
It’s a very understandable condition, especially with the widely known friendship of drummer Travis Barker and the late spinner whose real name was Adam Goldstein. Barker was Goldstein’s partner in the duo TRVSDJ-AM. Be strong guys!
