Megan Mullally Joins the Cast of Party Down

Let’s welcome a new face to join the party!

The new face belongs to Megan Mullaly, who will join next season of comedy series Party Down. The actress will have the role of Lydia Dunfree, a middle-aged refugee from a lousy marriage who leaves small-town life to move to Hollywood , where her 13-year-old daughter, Escapade, hopes to make it as an actress.

The series that tells a story of a Los Angeles catering team was recently left by Jane Lynch, who exchanged party with musical dramedy Glee on Fox. But with Mullaly joining the cast now, the void has been suitably filled. Party Down’s second season production is planned to begin in mid-September, with the premiere is tentatively scheduled for April.

Before Party Down, Mullaly had appeared in numerous television serial, including Will & Grace and In the Motherhood. Hopefully this series wil be her latest excellent job. Welcome aboard, Megan!
