Nora Zehetner Will Join Next Season of Grey’s Anatomy

As the new season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy getting closer, a couple of surprises will be included, along with some new faces. Nora Zehetner is one of the new cast members.

Zehetner will play one of the new residents appearing on the fifth episode of the new season, named Reed. She couldn’t share further details about her character, but according to several reports, Reed is “feisty, very smart and competitive,” and is likely to butt heads with at least one of the familiar faces.

When asked about her first day of work on the set, Zehetner said she was anxious and had nightmares. As she shared the experience, “Honestly, I was terrified. I’m actually a huge Grey’s fan. It’s this big show, and you’ve kind of identified with the actors and characters before you’ve ever met them. It adds a certain layer.”

She also praised the cast, saying, “Everybody was really, really nice and welcoming. It’s such a talented group of people, and I’m very honored to be one of them for a bit.” And when talked about the possibility of becoming a series regular, the actress who had appeared in several notable series such as Heroes and Everwood said that she’d be “thrilled to pieces” to join the cast full-time.

The sixth season of Grey’s Anatomy premieres Sept. 24 on ABC, so don’t forget to mark your calendar!
