Katherine Heigl and Husband Josh Kelley Are Adopting a Baby

Grey’s Anatomy star, Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley are expanding their little family by adopting a baby girl from Korea.

When appearing in The Ellen DeGeneres Show that will be aired Friday, Heigl announced the news, saying that their child, whom they’ve only seen pictures of so far, is from Korea and will be 10 months old at the end of the month. As Heigl informed, “She was actually born the day before me in November, which I thought was really serendipitous and just kind of like a sign. I realized just recently that I basically forfeited my birthday for the rest of my life.”

The couple have named her Naleigh, that Heigl said originated from the hybrid of her mother and sister’s names, Nancy and Leigh. Reports said that the couple’s adoption process has been in the works for at least six months. “She is a special needs baby and because of that it all moved so much faster,” Heigl said. “They wanted to get her to us as quickly as possible.”

30-year-old Heigl and musician Kelley have been married since 2007. Hopefully the little addition will added happiness to the family. Congratulations to the parents-to-be!
