Embarassing Act From Kanye West on VMA 2009

Apparently, Kanye West’s inappropriate act towards songstress Taylor Swift at the MTV VMA 2009 has pretty big impacts.

The rapper had apologized to the country sweetheart through his blog for the first time. He then apologized again Monday by writing another post on his blog, saying, “I feel like Ben Stiller in Meet the Parents when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave. That was Taylor’s moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her. I am truly sorry.”

But because three time’s a charm, the rapper issued another apology when appearing in the first episode of The Jay Leno Show, Monday night. “Dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took anything away, you know, from a talented artist—or from anyone—because I only wanted to help people,” West told Leno.

“My entire life, I’ve only wanted to do and give something that I felt was right and I immediately knew in this situation that it was wrong,” the rapper said. He continued, “It’s actually someone’s emotions, you know, that I stepped on. And it was very — it was just — it was rude, period. I’d like to apologize to her in person.”

Meanwhile, 19-year-old Swift kept a low profile on Monday. The day before, not long after the ‘incident, Swift said, “I’ve been getting so many text messages and
everybody’s been really nice. So I’ve had a really, really fun night. It’s been interesting definitely. It’s definitely been an interesting night.”

Then on Tuesday, Swift appeared on The View and said that while she would accept a face-to-face apology from the rapper, he has made no effort to get in touch with her since the outburst he made at the MTV VMA 2009. “He has not personally reached out or anything,” she said, “but if he wanted to say hi…”

West was definitely watching the show, because after Swift’s appearance on The View, he immediately called Swift, saying sorry for his behavior. Being sweet as always, Swift said, “Kanye did call me, and he was very sincere in his apology, and I accepted that apology.” She added that she believes there won’t be any conflict in the future.

Bless your heart, Taylor!
