Soap opera General Hospital will have a new guest star this fall. It’s James Franco!
The 31-year-old Golden Globe winner will guest star on ABC’s drama for a lengthy story and multi-episode, as confirmed by the network’s rep. Franco will play a mystery person who comes to the soap opera’s town of Port Charles. The recurring role will begin Nov. 20, and he will stay for about two months.
Franco is scheduled to be on set one day a week, filming several episodes at a time. Sources reported, the character that this Spider-Man star plays will torment romantically challenged mobster Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Executive producer Jill Farren Phelps said, “We are thrilled to announce that James Franco will play an integral part in a lengthy run on General Hospital this fall,” executive producer Jill Farren Phelps told SoapNet. “It’s an honor that an actor of James’ caliber would choose to spend some of his valuable time in Port Charles.”
