Elizabeth Taylor is Going Through Heart Surgery

On Tuesday, legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor, utilized her Twitter account to announce her heart surgery.

The 77-year-old star wrote, “Dear Friends, I would like to let you know before it gets in the papers that I am going into the hospital to have a procedure on my heart. It’s very new and involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that my heart will function better.”

Taylor, who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure five years ago, then added another post, “Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate. I’ll let you know when it’s all over. Love you, Elizabeth.”

People were responding, like Kelly Osbourne who sent well wishes to Taylor over Twitter, saying, “Good luck. My mother I and praying and thinking of you!”
Comedian Sandra Bernhard also tweeted to Taylor saying, “You have weathered harsher storms dear lady, we send every variety of prayer from many lands may they carry you through!”
