New Single from Britney Spears Reached No.1 Spot on Billboard Hot 100

Oops.., she did it again. Re-born diva, Britney Spears has done it again!

With her new single, 3, Spears is now sitting at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. And what makes it even more special? That’s because the single reached No. 1 only in its debut week. The single’s great achievement also made Spears the first artist with a debut No. 1 in more than three years, as said by Billboard. Wow!

3 is the latest single taken from her new album, The Singles Collection, that will be released November 10. It is the first No. 1 debut since Taylor Hicks’ 2006 hit Do I Make You Proud, and the first non-American Idol song to enter the chart at No. 1 in almost 11 years.

The 27-year-old singer expressed her gratitude in a statement, saying, “I want to thank my fans for making ‘3′ the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. I am truly blessed with the greatest fans in the world, and I am so happy y’all love it because I do this all for you. I can’t wait till you see the video.”
