Selena Gomez Becomes a Fashion Designer

Selena Gomez is adding a new job on her resume.

Not enough by being an actress and a singer, 17-year-old Gomez is entering the fashion world. The Disney star becomes the latest young celebrity who also designing clothes now.

The Wizard of Waverly Place star is collaborating with Generra designer Tony Melillo and fashion business veteran Sandra Campos to create “Dream Out Loud” by Selena Gomez. The line consists of “pretty, feminine and bohemian” clothes and accessories (made of eco-friendly and organic materials, natch) that are similar to the starlet’s own aesthetic.

The line is set to hit stores in Fall 2010 and will encompass boho dresses, floral printed tops, jeans, skirts, jackets and some accessories including hats and scarves. In an interview, the Magic singer said, “With my line, I really want to give the customer options on how they can put their own looks together. I want the pieces that can be easy to dress up or down, and the fabrics being eco-friendly and organic are superimportant. Also, the tags will all have some of my inspirational quotes on them. I’m just looking to send a good message.”
