Britney Spears Has Settled Lawsuit with Paparazzi

Good news coming from Britney Spears.

The comeback diva has settled a lawsuit with a photographer who claimed Spears ran over his foot in 2007. According to paperwork filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, two parties had reach a settlement, although the terms of the settlement were not disclosed.

Previously, the paparazzo, Ricardo Mendoza, had been seeking nearly $230,000 in damages and medical expenses. So it’s predicted that the amount is probably around that, or even more than those numbers.

Looking back on October 2007, an incident occured as Spears was driving her white Mercedes out of a Beverly Hills parking garage. Mendoza, who was working for TMZ.com at the time, claimed the singer intentionally ran over his left foot and told the site that Spears’s handlers should have been aware that she “was not in the mental, emotional and/or physical condition to operate the subject motor vehicle in a safe and reasonable manner.”

It was not a great day for the Womanizer singer, as a judge had temporarily suspended her rights to see her two sons (Preston and Jayden) earlier that day. Mendoza later sued the pop singer in May, accusing her of assault, battery and negligently driving her car over him.

With a new single on top of the chart, it’s a good thing for 27-year-old Spears to leave all her troubles behind. Settled and done!
