Sad news is coming from musical master Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The British composer has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, his spokeswoman said Sunday. In a statement, the spokeswoman detailed that, “(his) condition is in its very early stages. Andrew is now undergoing treatment and expects to be fully back at work before the end of the year.”

61-year-old Lloyd Webber is currently working on a sequel for Phantom of the Opera, called Lover Never Dies. It is scheduled to open in London in March next year and follow on Broadway in November, with rehearsals begin in the new year. This sequel opened 23 years after Phantom first hit the stage.

Lloyd Webber’s other musical hits have included Evita, Cats, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Jesus Christ Superstar. He has won seven Tony Awards, three Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe and an Oscar. Not only that, he is also set to judge a BBC television talent show next year.

Get well soon, and stay healthy, Sir Andrew!
