David Hasselholf is Hospitalized Again

The singer and former Baywatch star David Hasselholf was taken to a hospital near his Los Angeles home on Friday after suffering a seizure.

The 57-year-old actor was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after his daughter Hayley had called 911.

“Paramedics were called to Encino for medical aid,” Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott stated. They arrived at 11:51 a.m. and immediately took Hasselholf to the hospital.

“I asked one of the paramedics how David was doing and he told me his eyes were rolling back into his head, he was drooling and that he’d had a seizure,” said Hasselholf’s neighbor to RadarOnline.com.

It was unclear if alcohol was involved, but Hasselholf has been known of his struggle with alcoholism. He had been hospitalized five times these recent years due to alcohol poisoning, including the one in late September after taping a season of America’s Got Talent, a TV show in which he has been a judge. Earlier this month he appeared drunk while hosting MTV Europe Music Awards. In 2007 his daughter posted a clip of him drunk in order to seek help for his alcoholism; the video showed Hasselholf rolling around on the floor eating a hamburger.
