Sheryl Crow, Jordin Sparks and Others Will Perform on Holiday Event

In the annual tree lighting ceremony, Sheryl Crow and Jordin Sparks are scheduled to sing Christmas carols on Thursday around the National Christmas Tree, near the National Mall. Not only the two stars, more will join the stage: rapper Common, Ray LaMontagne and Celtic Woman, jazz musicians Brad Mehldau and Joshua Redman.

And to make the ceremony even more merrier, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said that President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama will help light the tree between the White House and the Washington Monument.
