Tyler Perry Will Take Madea on Road Tour

Watch out people, Madea might soon coming to your town!

This is a happy news for those who love the sharp-tongued (though very wise) character, Madea. Her creator, and the man behind the wig himself, Tyler Perry, will be taking Madea on tour.

The movie producer and actor announced the tour news on his website (www.tylerperry.com), “I am so glad I have decided to go out on tour. ‘MADEA’s BIG HAPPY FAMILY’ is my new play. if you have not seen ‘MADEA’ live on stage you haven’t seen Madea at all. This is truly my BIGGEST and BEST PLAY EVER! The show is hilarious!”

The tour ahead is a good sign from Perry, which indirectly said that he has finally able to get over his grief after the death of his mother and move on. Perry’s mom, Willie Maxine Perry, died earlier this month at the age of 63.

Perry also said in the announcement, “My mother was the apple of my eye, so this has been difficult to say the least. I am so glad I have decided to go out on tour. You can’t imagine how much I need to be in front of the people right now.”

Perry’s first Madea stage show in five years, Madea’s Big Happy Family, debuts January 4 in El Paso, Texas. It will be performed in other cities, such as; Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle and Portland, Ore.
