Britney Spears Attended Court Hearing with Smile

Britney Spears seemed to be doing just fine when she appeared at the court on Friday with her father, Jamie. It was for a hearing regarding her ongoing convervatorship case.

In a gray jacket and black skirt, with her dark brown and long hair, the 28-year-old singer entered the court room at 1:45 p.m. through the judge’s hallway door. She then smiled at one of her lawyers, Jamie Ingham, as she stood next to him at the attorney table.

The 2-hours-session closed-door hearing was a standard procedure, where Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz reviewed her progress after a mental breakdown that cost her a legal control over her own affairs.

Spears’ lawyers also requested the court permission to auction off her 2008 MTV Video Music Awards dress to raise money for Haiti earthquake relief. It was granted.

Spears may regain a full control over her life if she can prove to the court her capability to handle her own affairs–supported by doctors’ recommendation, of course.
