Zac Efron Will Be On Fire

From a high school singer to a special agent.

Zac Efron, who gained his name from High School Musical, is stepping into college world. He has signed to star in an adaptation of the graphic novel Fire, and will also serve as an executive producer.

The Universal project follows the story of a college student who is selected to join a special CIA project that turns ordinary citizens into agents. Author of the book, Brian Michael Bendis, is also slated to write the screenplay.

Efron is slowly but sure leaving his HSM past behind. He topped the box office charts last April with the comedy 17 Again, alongside Matthew Perry. And next up for Efron, he will be seen this June in the Universal drama The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud.
