Etta James is Still Being Hospitalized

Singer Etta James is still hospitalized as she recovers from sepsis, an infection.

A rep for the 72-year-old legendary singer, Lupe De Leon confirmed on Monday that James is stable, but he doesn’t know when James will be released from the Riverside Community Hospital, Southern California.

Previously, on Friday, her son Donto James said that his mother has been hospitalized for about a week with sepsis caused by a urinary tract infection. She was said has entered a treatment program to shake a dependency on painkillers and was transferred to the hospital when her condition worsened.

The blues crooner is best known for the hit At Last. She was being portrayed by Beyonce in the film Cadillac Records two years ago.
