Ashanti Said Nelly is a Good Friend

R&B singer, Ashanti, has always been on the buzz for her relationship with fellow singer, Nelly.

After a rendition of “Star Spangled Banner” during game five of the Lakers-Celtics championship series, Ashanti was asked about her under-the-radar relationship, and she said, “Me and Nelly, we’re good friends. We kick it – hang out a lot. The industry is very hard, so it’s good to have fun and lighten it up”.

She also denied about the engagement rumor, by holding up a ring-free left hand, and said, “Oh no. Noooo! No engagement.” but then added, “But definitely in the future. Ha! Ha!”

The 27-year-old singer is now busy promoting her latest album, “The Declaration”, which one of her single “Switch” is featuring Nelly. Hmmm… only good friends, reaallyyy??
