The ‘Kill Bill’ star, Uma Thurman, got engaged to financier Arpad ‘Arki’ Busson as first reported by the New York Daily News on Friday. Thurman’s publicist, Stephen Huvane said, “I can confirm she is engaged”.
The 38-year-old actress has been dating the Swiss multimillionaire since summer 2007 after attending a private dinner together in Milan, Italy. When attended Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday party in London, Busson surprised Thurman with the ring, an 8-plus carat center stone surrounded by 20 smaller stones. Diamond’s a girl best friend, alright.
This marriage will be a third for Thurman, after Gary Oldman, ended in 1992 and Ethan Hawke, ended in 2003. She has a son and a daughter with Hawke, while Busson has two sons with former supermodel Elle Macpherson, from whom he split in 2005.
