Usher Wants to Play as Marvin Gaye

Usher was reportedly having the urge to take part in Marvin Gaye’s biopic, as Marvin Gaye. It’s not only because he likes Marvin Gaye, but also because the ‘Love in This Club’ singer once played as Gaye during a guest-appearance on U.S. television show American Dreams. As he said about his desire to play as Gaye, “I want to be the person who tells the story of Marvin Gaye because I understand the conflict he had as a man”.

Unfortunately for the hitmaker, a film about Marvin Gaye’s life is already in production, and the laed role had already been filled by Jesse L. Martin, former Law & Order star. Well, don’t worry, as one door closed, lots of other doors open. Next chance Usher!
