The Story Behind Nicole Kidman’s Daughter Name

Nicole Kidman and husband Keith Urban, became the latest pair of celebrities who named their daughter with unique name. Sunday Rose is the baby’s name, following fellow celebuspawn’s unique names such as; Apple Martin (Chris Martin & Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter), or Harlow (Joel Madden & Nicole Richie’s daughter).

Apparently, there’s history behind the name. She is named after early 20th-century artist’s muse Sunday Reed. While her middle name, Rose, taken from Urban’s late grandmother Rose.

While being interviewed about daughter’s labour process, Kidman’s father said about his granddaughter’s name, “I have read a bit about Sunday Reed and her husband John – she was a key mover and shaker in the arts around the beginning of the century. The name Sunday struck me as being a nice name for a woman, so my wife and I mentioned it.”

Well, even though Sunday Rose was born on Monday, the name still very much appropriate for all the reasons behind it. Any how, each name given by the parents is a prayer. Welcome baby Sunday!
