Laurence Fishburne Joins CSI

The case is solved. The question mark is now answered. 47-year-old Laurence Fishburne will be joining CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, filling a spot William Petersen’s left behind.

The actor who played Morpheus in “The Matrix” trilogy, will be introduced in the ninth episode of the upcoming 10th season, play a forensics scientist with a secret. According to producers, Fishburne and Petersen will overlap for two episodes, probably airing in mid-December of early 2009, before Petersen’s exit. Production on those episodes is set to begin next month. (more…)

Tori Spelling

Tori Spelling’s departure from the new spin-off of 90’s hit series, 90210, had been confirmed. The cause of her stepping down move is positively because of the unequal pay for Spelling compared to the rest of the show’s cast members. The two names mentioned getting the bigger pay were Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty.

The new series was supposedly became some kind of reunion for the original cast -at least to few of them-, but sadly it won’t be happenning to Spelling’s character, Donna Martin. The news got a respond from Spelling’s co-star, Jennie Garth, who played the favorite girl of Beverly Hills, Kelly Taylor. (more…)

Tori Spelling 90210

Tori Spelling had already agreed to join “90210“, the spin-off of 90’s hit television series “Beverly Hills 90210″, but that plan might not be working as smooth as it was planned to be.

It was reported that there’s a contract controversy, which makes Spelling re-considered about being part of the team. Insiders said that Spelling was hired to reprise her role as fashion boutique owner Donna Martin for just $10,000-$20,000 per episode. But then the other 2 alums; Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty were signed for $35,000-$50,000 a show. (more…)

British soul singer, Joss Stone, is stepping slowly but sure to the acting world.

She launched her debut in late 2006 with the fantasy adventure film “Eragon”, where she played as the witch ‘Angela’. And now the ‘Spoiled’ singer ready for her major role in Showtime’s drama “The Tudors”. Stone will play Henry VIII’s fourth wife, Anne of Cleves. while Henry is played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The most watched talent show on TV, American Idol, will lose one of its masterminds, Nigel Lythgoe.

On Monday, The American Idol executive producer announced in a statement, “I will step back from my day-to-day producing work on American Idol and will be devoting my time to a new development venture with 19 Entertainment head and fellow Idol mastermind Simon Fuller”. (more…)

It’s a favorite show, and crowded with stars. After Lohan guest starring in ‘Ugly Betty’, more names came up on the list. Actor Mark Consuelos is one of them. And now, Consuelos’ wife Kelly Ripa and her partner on “Live with Regis and Kelly”, Regis Philbin will be on the series too. CSI Las Vegas

It’s sad to see William Petersen will be leaving ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ pretty soon. It won’t be the same without Grissom, but on a brighter side, that means a seat is open for the new head of CSI in Las Vegas.

The opportunity then revealed by CBS Entertainment President, Nina Tasler, who mentioning several famous names to fill Petersen’s seat. John Malkovich and Laurence Fisburne are among those who had been considered for the role by the network. (more…)

It’s official!

We’ll be seeing a lot more of Brenda Walsh in the upcoming fresh-and-rejuvenated ‘90210′ (the “Beverly Hills” is remove from the title to distance itself from the previous incarnation). During the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills on Saturday, executive producer of the new show, Gabe Sachs said, “Shannen Doherty will be returning to 90210″. (more…)

Although rumors spread that Katherine Heigl will be ‘axed’ from “Grey’s Anatomy” post her Emmy Award’s nomination refusal and then negative comments she made about the show, apparently rumors are only rumors.

According to ABC Entertainment President, Stephen McPherson, the 29-year-old actress will still join the cast of Grey’s. And in fact, he confirmed, “She is a fantastically talented actress. She is absolutely staying with the show. She has an unbelievable storyline for her this year, which is really central to everything that is going to go on this season. William Petersen CSI

After Jorja Fox who played Sara Sidle left the show last season, Gary Dourdan’s misdemeanor made him ‘got killed’ in the season finale, latest sad news is that William Petersen, who played the show’s main character Gil Grissom, will be leaving too.

Confirmed by the show’s executive producer, Carol Mendelsohn, “Billy is leaving. But he will remain throughout the run of the series an executive producer. And he will, whenever CBS asks, come back. I don’t think you’ve seen the last of Gil Grissom”. His last appearance is on this season’s 10th episode, as a full-time series regular. (more…)
