David Cook is The New American Idol!
The battle of the Davids has been won by the big David. David Cook is who America chooses to be the new American Idol.
The 25-year-old guy who worked as a bartender before competing in American Idol, finally won the title, defeated 17-year-old high school student from Murray, Utah.
The two gave their best on Tuesday’s finale performance, and overall, Simon Cowell -known as the most-mean critics- praised Archuleta over Cook. David Archuleta was basically out-sang Cook’s performance that night. From all three songs he sang, each gave extra point, especially on his rendition of John Lennon’s Imagine. Read more
Joaquin Phoenix Skipped Movie Premiere
Bad news for Joaquin Phoenix, he couldn’t make it to premiere of the movie ‘Two Lovers’ in Cannes, due to his stomach ailment.
He actually wanted to attend, but doctors insisted on hospitalizing him, because he was vomiting and became massively dehydrated. In an email read at a press conference for the film, Phoenix said he was “very disappointed” he could not attend the premiere. Read more
