The “Mr. Brook” star will finally making his dream come true, because he and his country-rock band, Modern West, will release their first album in November this year. More good news for Shia LaBeouf. The actor already off the hook from the DUI charges, and on Monday, the pair who were involved in the accident got charged, relieving Shia from the accusation for being the one who caused the crash.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office filed one misdemeanor count apiece for two people who were involved in the July car crash. They are 22-year-old Herbert Simon and 21-year-old Kimberly Bent, charged with giving police false information about the wreck. As said by a spokeswoman for Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley’s office, Bent told police after the crash that she was driving, but that investigators suspect Simon was behind the wheel. It has been a couple of months since Heath Ledger died. But apparently his name is still attached to another problem.

This time in a lawsuit filed to an insurance company that refuse to pay the actor’s $10 million life insurance policy. Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment in January this year. Investigators concluded that Ledger’s death was an accidental death from an overdose of painkillers and other medicines, but lawyers for the ReliaStar insurance company have claimed his death was suspicious and possibly a suicide, that would nullify the policy. Following his fellow friend, DJ AM who got released from the hospital last Friday, former drummer of band Blink-182, Travis Barker got released from the same hospital yesterday.

A spokeswoman for the hospital, Beth Frits says Barker was released from the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, on Monday morning. As she said, “Travis is in good condition and was discharged this morning at 10 a.m, he has left Augusta”. Read more

Sad news for Janet fans!

The “Feedback” singer reportedly has been hospitalized after feeling sick shortly before a concert. A statement released by W&W Public Relations, Janet’s representative, saying that the sexy singer canceled her concert in Montreal on Monday after she “got suddenly ill” during her sound check and had to be rushed to the hospital just before show time.

The statement also said that Janet is being monitored at the hospital and hopes to reschedule the show, but no further information was given about her condition. Read more

Hollywood is grieving for the loss of a legend, Paul Newman.

Announced Saturday, the actor -who’s famous for his intense blue eyes- died at 83 years old surrounded by his family and close friends at his farmhouse near Westport, Connecticut. A statement from publicist Jeff Sanderson said that the screen hero who has been in the business for more than half a century succumbed Friday after a long battle with cancer.

Newman had appeared in more than 80 films and TV productions. He was nominated for Oscars ten times, in which his first Oscar nomination was in 1959 for “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”, and his most recent was in 2003 for “Road to Perdition”. Newman acted as the sexy stranger in his Broadway debut in 1953, “Picnic”, that led to a Warner Bros. Hollywood contract and his first movie – the 1954 toga epic The Silver Chalice, which even he considered one of the worst movies ever made. Read more

One of the former residents of “Melrose Place,” Heather Locklear, was arrested last Saturday on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance in the upscale Santa Barbara area, California.

According to California Highway Patrol spokesman Tom Marshall, “Around 4:30 p.m, a female witness saw Heather Locklear driving erratically while leaving a parking lot in Montecito. The witness said Locklear was revving her engine loudly, and backed over a pair of sunglasses several times”.

The witness then came upon Locklear again on the road. The spokesman then added, “The citizen became concerned when Ms. Locklear exited her vehicle and stumbled into the traffic lane…the citizen called 911 and reported the entire incident to CHP Ventura Dispatch”. Read more

As said by Reynolds’s publicist, Meredith O’Sullivan, the cute couple got married this weekend in Canada, Reynolds’s hometown. No further details from O’Sullivan though. According to Us Weekly on its Web site Sunday, the ceremony took place “Saturday evening at a remote wilderness resort outside Vancouver”.
