DMX Was Arressted

Another day, another trouble for rapper DMX.

37-year-old troubled rapper was arrested at a store in Florida on Thursday for failing to appear in an Arizona court on drug charges. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio detailed the arrest, saying the rapper was taken into custody outside a Wal-Mart store in north Miami Beach on a warrant issued by a Maricopa County Superior Court commissioner. Apparently Katy Perry can only tied her record to The Beatles. This week, Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl” has just got beaten by “Disturbia” from Barbados beauty, Rihanna, and officially ended Perry’s seven-week chart-topping streak. Disturbia is disturbing for Perry alright.

Rihanna’s latest single made the two-spot jump to No. 1 after selling a week-best 148,000 digital downloads. And that’s not all RiRi achieved. Her previous chart-topper “Take a Bow” also remains atop the Hot 100 Airplay chart, which is quite rare if an artist simultaneously dominates the regular Hot 100 and the Hot 100 Airplay chart with different tracks. Tori Spelling

Tori Spelling’s departure from the new spin-off of 90’s hit series, 90210, had been confirmed. The cause of her stepping down move is positively because of the unequal pay for Spelling compared to the rest of the show’s cast members. The two names mentioned getting the bigger pay were Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty.

The new series was supposedly became some kind of reunion for the original cast -at least to few of them-, but sadly it won’t be happenning to Spelling’s character, Donna Martin. The “Dawson’s Creek” actress looked stunning while accompanying her husband Tom Cruise to his movie premiere, “Tropic Thunder”, on Tuesday night (8/12). She showed her new super short hair in a lovely dress in navy color with matching heels. Cruise is looking good himself. (more…)

Clay Aiken (AOLCDN)

He was just becoming a new parent, but Clay Aiken is already geared up for another Broadway performance.

The American Idol runner-up will take to the stage in “Monty Python’s Spamalot” again this September, reprising his role of Sir Robin. His run will last from September 19 through January 4.

Aiken first joined the Tony Award-winning musical early this year, for a 4-month run, ending on May 4, 2008. Besides playing as ‘Sir Robin’, the 29-year-old singer also played the 1st Sentry, the 1st Guard and the Brother Maynard roles. (more…)

Madonna on Tour

Madonna’s “Sticky and Sweet” tour guaranteed gonna be more glamorous with the haute-couture costumes from Givenchy that the diva will be wearing.

French fashion house Givenchy says it is to dress Madonna for her upcoming world tour, as said by Givenchy’s spokeswoman, Caroline Deroche-Pasquier. In an e-mail Tuesday, she said venerated label Givenchy Couture has made the pop star two ensembles.

One of the outfits will be donned during Madonna’s opening number, a coat dress in black stretch satin, keeping in line with the fashion house’s dark and gothic bent. The second of the Givenchy-provided outfits, a Gypsy-inspired long cape worn over a black dress embellished with colored ribbons, will make its debut during the concert’s third act. (more…)

Worldwide Entertainment Group Inc. filed the lawsuit Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Miami, alleging the 27-year-old model-actress-heiress owes $75,000 in damages for not fulfilling promotional obligations. She was sued for breach of contract, charging that she didn’t come through after being paid $1 million to star in and promote “National Lampoon’s Pledge This!”. (more…)

Disney starlet Vanessa Hudgens got into legal trouble, again.

She’s being sued by a producer who claims she has been flaky with her royalty payments since their professional relationship ended.

On Monday (8/11), Johnny Vieira filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Vieira is demanding more than $5 million and punitive damages from the High School Musical star. The music producer accuses the 19-year-old singer/actress and her manager-father, Greg Hudgens, of breach of contract and fraud. (more…)
